About This Role

The Patient Care Coordinator manages the full patient experience from first contact through treatment completion, encompassing front desk operations, treatment coordination, scheduling, payment handling, and insurance collaboration. This leadership role ensures smooth daily operations and patient satisfaction by adhering strictly to practice protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Check patients in and out efficiently and courteously
  • Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries promptly
  • Review doctor’s and hygienist’s schedules daily; identify and fill gaps
  • Prepare and present treatment plans and financial arrangements
  • Ensure all patient and insurance payments are properly posted in Denticon
  • Deposit patient checks via the in-office check scanner on the date received
  • Work closely with Billing Team on insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and estimates
  • Pull Deposit Slip and Daily Journal reports from Denticon
  • Assist with office supply checks and restocking

Requirements

  • Prior dental front office and/or treatment coordinator experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance, and treatment planning
  • Proficiency with Denticon/Dentrix/Open Dental/EagleSoft or other PMS
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Confident discussing finances with patients
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
  • HIPAA compliance required
  • 1+ year dental receptionist experience
  • 1+ year dental office experience
  • 1+ year dental terminology experience

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a dental receptionist, in a dental office, and with dental terminology

  • 1+ year medical office management experience
