Outside Sales Representative

About This Role

Manage the sales process and drive profitable sales growth within an assigned territory, focusing on both existing and new Airgas customers. This role involves meeting and exceeding corporate and regional objectives for profitable sales growth, A/R management, and customer retention.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales process and drive profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory
• Meet and exceed corporate and regional objectives for profitable sales growth
• Manage A/R and customer retention within the assigned territory
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to provide multiple layers of value to customers
• Leverage deep knowledge of customer's business, economic trends, and industry trends
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Proven success using a consultative sales approach
• Proven success using deep knowledge of customer's business, economic trends, and industry trends
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and presentation skills
• Self-starter, self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency, ability to work and succeed independently
• Reliable transportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance
• Minimum 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience
• Proven experience and success in solution-selling concepts
• Demonstrated history of managing customers throughout a defined sales territory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases
• Industrial gas / welding supply sales experience
• B2B Sales in an industrial environment
