This Optometric Technician role is crucial for providing essential patient data to doctors, performing preliminary tests, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation and cleanliness of the exam room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of preliminary testing procedures
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on patients
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, communicating delays
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff
