Operations Assistant Store Leader

About This Role

This role supports the Store Leader by managing all operational activities to achieve store goals, including guest service, sales targets, operating expenses, and merchandising. The leader will drive excellence through increased sales and operational efficiencies while developing team talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Store Leader in achieving all store goals
• Drive best-in-class guest service and associate engagement
• Manage operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation
• Provide exceptional guest service through relationship-building and product knowledge
• Increase sales and find operational efficiencies
• Develop top talent within the team
• Foster a guest-focused team environment
• Achieve excellent guest service by role-modeling company service standards
• Provide timely feedback, reward performance, and drive retention
• Hold self and associates accountable for financial results and performance standards
• Manage conflict and coach associates using company processes
• Empower associates in decision-making processes
• Develop associates through an individualized approach
• Lead by managing through change and adversity
• Co-lead floor sets and refresh management
• Manage and oversee scheduling
• Manage back of house organization and shipment/product prep
• Plan and manage merchandise markdown process
• Manage supply orders, maintenance, and cleaning
• Manage inventory and damages, audit banking and loss prevention systems
• Train new associates on operational processes
• Co-manage payroll and responsible for store’s financial performance

Requirements

• 1 year of retail management experience
• Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and occasional climbing of ladders/stairs
