Nursing Attendant

About This Role

This role involves performing a variety of patient care functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. It requires adherence to established standards of care and policies, contributing to the organization's vision and mission.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care functions as assigned and in accordance with legal scope of competency
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies, procedures, principles of responsibilities, and applicable laws
• Demonstrate a professional, supportive attitude and identify/support new ideas
• Utilize effective communication strategies including chain of command and issue escalation
• Participate in problem identification and resolution in collaboration with the Registered Nurse
• Prioritize work assignments appropriately and notify the Registered Nurse if unable to complete
• Comply with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice
• Correctly identify patients and scheduled procedures, performing patient care activities considering age-related needs
• Collect data and provide timely information to the Registered Nurse for care plan revision
• Apply standard precautions and maintain a safe environment for self and others
