The Nurse Professional Development Specialist (NPD-S) develops, implements, and evaluates professional development programs for nursing staff. This role advances nursing professional practice and promotes synergistic practices to improve patient outcomes within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools, theories, skills and knowledge to advance the practice of the NPD specialty
- Develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs
- Influence professional role competence, continuous learning and growth
- Promote synergistic practices and patient outcomes throughout the organization
- Advance and lead NPD practice based on the Beaumont Health Nursing Professional Practice Model
Requirements
- Master's Degree in nursing
- 3+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI
- CRT-Board Cert Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) - ANCC (2 Yrs required)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 5 years of education experience preferred.
