Nurse Professional Development Specialist

About This Role

The Nurse Professional Development Specialist (NPD-S) develops, implements, and evaluates professional development programs for nursing staff. This role advances nursing professional practice and promotes synergistic practices to improve patient outcomes within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, theories, skills and knowledge to advance the practice of the NPD specialty
• Develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs
• Influence professional role competence, continuous learning and growth
• Promote synergistic practices and patient outcomes throughout the organization
• Advance and lead NPD practice based on the Beaumont Health Nursing Professional Practice Model

Requirements

• Master's Degree in nursing
• 3+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI
• CRT-Board Cert Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) - ANCC (2 Yrs required)
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in nursing
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 5 years of education experience preferred.
