Medical Waste Plant Operator

About This Role

Operate as a Plant Operator at a medical waste treatment facility, handling various tasks including checking in containers, paperwork verification, waste container movement, and forklift operation to load autoclaves.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers using a Weighbridge
• Load and operate an autoclave machine
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization
• Drive a forklift and operate hand trucks after training
• Lift 55lbs and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs
• Provide attention to detail for required paperwork
• Stand for extended periods comfortably
• Work effectively as part of a team

Requirements

• Can-do attitude
• Commitment to efficient, timely scheduling
• Previous experience in a labor-intensive job
• Ability to lift 55lbs and push 200lb carts
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive job with repetitive lifting (50lbs to 75lb containers) and proven longevity with employers.
