Medical Support Technician Scheduler - Outpatient

About This Role

The Medical Support Technician Scheduler is responsible for answering scheduling telephones, scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling patient appointments, and routing calls to the appropriate department. This role also assists the Case Management Team with various office duties.

Responsibilities

• Answer scheduling telephones
• Schedule, cancel, or reschedule patient appointments using Scheduling Guidelines
• Route calls to appropriate department or party in a professional manner
• Assist the Case Management Team in various office duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate with easy medical terms for patients
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• One year experience in a position that requires dealing with the public
• Previous switchboard experience
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Yup’ik speaker preferred
