Medical Assistant OBGYN

About This Role

Serve as a Medical Assistant for OBGYN patients at Kaiser Permanente in Bellevue, contributing to a world-class care team and ensuring an exceptional patient experience through direct care and support.

Responsibilities

• Collect selected data about the patient's health status, including vital signs and concerns
• Record pertinent data on the patient's medical record
• Recognize urgent/emergent situations and refer them to a physician or nurse in a timely fashion
• Participate in the development of the nursing care plan and contribute pertinent information
• Implement the nursing plan of care safely and completely according to role and team specifications
• Document accurate information in the proper format according to KFHPW documentation standards
• Communicate attentively and individually with patients and coordinate their care
• Instruct and orient patients and family/significant others to the healthcare team, services, and access
• Provide instruction to patients and family/significant others based on the educational plan determined by the professional provider
• Provide patients with preventive care information and reinforce the health plan
