About This Role

This Meat Cutter role focuses on guest satisfaction while performing all meat processing, sanitation, safety, and stocking procedures for fresh meat products. The position involves precise cutting, grinding, and wrapping of beef, pork, and chicken according to company standards and management directives.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests as the primary responsibility
  • Learn and perform market skills including cutting, grinding, and wrapping fresh meat products
  • Stock and rotate products, ensuring trim specifications and proper temperatures are maintained
  • Learn proper weighing, labeling, code dating, and handling of reworked and reduced-to-clear items
  • Follow daily work schedule assigned by management
  • Adhere to dress code and health codes
  • Follow company attendance and tardiness guidelines
  • Perform market duties in accordance with company guidelines for guest safety and value
  • Perform any other related duties as requested or required by management

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, efficient, and controlled manner
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the meat cutter duties (standing, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing, walking)
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. to a height of 4 feet on a regular basis
  • Ability to read, write, and complete company forms for sales reporting
  • Ability to work for periods of up to 8-10 hours in 50-degree temperatures
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching
  • Ability to function as a team member
