About This Role

As a Meat and Seafood Clerk, you will prepare, package, and display fresh meat and seafood products while maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and display meat and seafood products to meet quality and food safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Assist with inventory and restocking
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers, including product selection and cooking tips
• Maintain clean displays and monitor product quality
• Follow packaging guidelines
• Support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture

Requirements

• Understanding meat and seafood types, freshness indicators, and safe handling practices
• Ability to assist customers with product selection and provide helpful cooking or preparation tips
• Familiarity with sanitation standards and procedures for handling raw products
• Ability to maintain clean displays, monitor product quality, and follow packaging guidelines
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in refrigerated environments
• Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications

• Prior experience in meat or seafood preparation, grocery, or food service preferred.
