This Maintenance Supervisor role oversees maintenance operations to maximize plant and production equipment uptime at the Glendale Corrugated Container facility. The position focuses on precision and preventative maintenance, while also coaching and developing craftsmen to ensure efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist and provide direction to craftsmen with equipment troubleshooting to mitigate downtime
- Monitor and approve inventory orders to control storeroom spend according to planned budget
- Ensure compliance and proper use of parts and equipment according to preferred maintenance practices
- Oversee craftsmen’s compliance with corporate, division, plant safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Lead development and implementation of continuous process improvement of reliability plans in the plant
- Demonstrate ownership of business and management goals by effectively leading craftsmen to align on objectives
- Lead safety efforts by identifying high-risk situations, conducting safety meetings, and coordinating maintenance related safety activities
- Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees
- Collaborate with operations and mechanical leaders to plan, schedule and execute daily and break-in work and to increase measured reliability metrics
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment with Mechanical, Electrical experience
- Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment (i.e., pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes)
- Safety mindset with thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures
- Initiative to problem solve and take independent action
- Ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization
- Ability to exhibit a ‘can-do’ approach and inspire others to excel
- Organized with great time management to manage multiple priorities
- Available for on-call situations and working every other weekend for preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- 2-year Technical Degree in a Maintenance related discipline - Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment with Mechanical, Electrical experience
Nice to Have
- 2-year Technical Degree in a Maintenance related discipline
- Experience with PM program and software (ie. JDE, SAP, etc)
