As a Maintenance Supervisor at KBR, you will plan, organize, and lead day-to-day activities for mechanics performing maintenance on light/medium wheeled vehicles within the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. You will be responsible for implementing training requirements, monitoring employee performance, and ensuring compliance with production standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of mechanics performing inspection, maintenance, and repair of light/medium wheeled vehicles.
- Ensure mechanics are properly trained in all maintenance functions.
- Determine sequence and assignment of work based on priority and equipment quantity to optimize use of resources.
- Manage inventory of repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.
- Inspect work performed to ensure compliance with specifications and time schedules.
- Interpret specifications, drawing, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
- Coordinate department activities with other departments.
- Ensure compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ensure employees adhere to all safety requirements, procedures, and policies.
- Supervise and manage the administration of workspace for motor transport equipment repair.
- Recommend changes to procedures as appropriate.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with all MCPP ISO-9002 policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 8 years of directly related work experience in a motor transport environment.
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a motor transport environment.
- Completed motor transport maintenance officer course, or equivalent.
- Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
- Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part equipment.
- Ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and/or course work towards a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or other related discipline is preferred.
- 8 years of directly related work experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience, in a motor transport environment.
Nice to Have
- USMC MOS 3510 or 3529 or Army MOS 91X or 91Z.
- Associate's degree or coursework towards a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
