About This Role

Provide direct nursing care to patients within the legal scope of practice and established standards, ensuring quality and effectiveness in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies, principles, and applicable laws
• Perform patient care functions within the scope of competency according to physician orders and established protocols
• Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgeries, and diagnostic exams
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, notifying physicians for disposition
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician order following established protocols
• Maintain equipment and supplies, identifying those needing repair
• Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control
• Monitor patient flow and assign/direct other ancillary personnel as needed
• Provide medical information and education to patients following established guidelines
• Document pertinent patient information, assessment, and nursing procedures
