Lead Hospital Medical Waste/Sharps Technician

About This Role

Serve as a customer service-oriented Lead Field Service Representative, assisting the Field Service Supervisor with day-to-day supervision of field service representatives. You will ensure the inspection and servicing of all products within an assigned hospital or medical center, contributing to a safer healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Field Service Supervisor with day-to-day supervision of field service representatives
• Backfill for field service representatives at applicable service sites as needed
• Ensure staging area is neat and orderly and all delivery equipment is in working order
• Check and service containers throughout the hospital according to daily schedule
• Exchange containers, load transporters with full containers, and transport them to storage
• Communicate consistently with the field service supervisor on quality, issues, and service status
• Periodically communicate with clinical staff and other stakeholders regarding current needs
• Lift containers up to 40 lbs and push/pull wheeled transporters up to 300 lbs
• Provide management support to field service representatives, including addressing concerns and providing training
• Perform waste audits and lead/assist with customer installs
