Lead Hospital Medical Waste/Sharps Technician

About This Role

As a Lead Field Service Representative, you will assist the Field Service Supervisor with day-to-day supervision of field service representatives, backfill for customer locations, and manage the inspection and servicing of products within assigned hospitals or medical centers. Your role is crucial in creating a safer healthcare environment for patients and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Field Service Supervisor with day-to-day supervision of field service representatives
• Backfill for field service representatives at applicable service sites
• Inspect and service medical waste containers throughout hospitals according to schedule
• Exchange containers, load transporters with full containers, and relocate them to storage areas
• Maintain consistent communication with the field service supervisor, nurses, and other stakeholders regarding service needs
• Lift containers weighing up to 40 lbs and push/pull wheeled transporters up to approximately 300 lbs
• Address and resolve field service representative concerns and provide training as needed
• Provide clinical staff training for standard and premium accounts
• Lead and/or assist with customer installs
• Perform waste audits as needed

• Can-do attitude and commitment to efficient, timely scheduling
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks within a hospital setting

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive job.
