About This Role

Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for an entire store, including both front end and pharmacy. Help maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure pricing accuracy by managing products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns
  • Champion On-Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms
  • Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications impacting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing
  • Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, errors, or damaged goods
  • Open and close the store in absence of store management, including systems start-ups, cash handling, and cashier responsibilities (in designated stores)
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members
  • Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes

Requirements

  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates)
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

Qualifications

  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
