About This Role

Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and procedures for a retail store, covering both front end and pharmacy operations. Manage receiving, counting, ordering, and returns to ensure accurate on-hand balances and pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns
  • Champion On-Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms
  • Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications impacting inventory accuracy and pricing
  • Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, errors, or damaged goods
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues when serving as leader on duty
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders
  • Complete On-Shelf Availability (OSA) end-to-end process, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns

Requirements

  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates)
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

Qualifications

  • 1 year of prior retail work experience (external candidates) or 6 months with Walgreens (internal candidates)

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
