This Inside Sales Representative position promotes and sells Navy Mutual's life insurance and annuity products to members, managing the sales process from proposal to close and building strong member relationships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire sales process from proposal to close, and reach or exceed monthly sales goals
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to insurance policy counseling to best serve members and potential members
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective members
- Track, prepare, and maintain records of sales leads and account status
- Make 40-60 outbound sales calls daily to actively make sales and schedule appointments with prospective members
- Write sales proposals with immediate follow-up with prospective members
- Effectively communicate Navy Mutual’s products and services to prospective members
- Initiate follow-up contact with prospective policyholders who have not provided an application since their most recent request
- Educate military personnel and their families on military benefits, as well as the benefits of Navy Mutual membership and products
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all software programs required by the team
- Successfully pass the Virginia Bureau of Insurance’s Life and Annuities examination and complete the “Navy Mutual Way” training and testing and RegEd’s Recommending Annuities Under the NAIC Best Interest Standard (490) course within the allotted time
- Comply with all pertinent laws/regulations, all Bylaws and policies established by the Board of Directors, and all written/verbal instructions received from Vice President of Sales

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- 3-5 years of Sales experience highly preferred
