This is a field-based business development role focused on identifying and onboarding local businesses interested in becoming delivery partners in the Chicago area. The representative will visit local businesses, pitch the program, qualify applicants, support onboarding, and help grow community awareness.
Responsibilities
- Visit local businesses door-to-door within a 90-minute to two-hour radius to generate interest
- Deliver a compelling pitch that clearly communicates program benefits
- Qualify businesses and guide them through each step of the application and vetting process
- Track all lead activity and manage your pipeline using Salesforce
- Partner with your Field Manager to plan and execute recruitment events such as Lunch & Learns, Townhall meetings, and Community coffee chats
- Build relationships with key local influencers (Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development groups, business associations)
- Import and organize lead data using Excel and Salesforce
Requirements
- 1-2+ years in sales or customer service
- Outside/field sales experience, including door-knocking or territory sales
- Salesforce or CRM experience
- Strong communication skills and professional presence
- High sense of urgency, self-motivation, and comfort working independently in the field
- Ability to solve problems on the spot while supporting applicants through onboarding
- Tech-savvy, with experience using multiple systems
- Ability to travel up to 4 hours round-trip daily
