About This Role

The Industrial Engineer will specialize in Process Improvement and Operations, analyzing, designing, and implementing continuous improvements across pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. This role focuses on increasing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing resource utilization while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and GMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead and manage process improvement projects from definition through implementation
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3)
  • Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Optimize workflows, cycle times, production capacity, and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
  • Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap, productivity, and efficiency
  • Support process validation and revalidation activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in industrial engineering and process improvement within manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience in project development and execution
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
  • GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar regulatory standards
  • Process mapping (VSM), time and motion studies
  • Project management tools and methodologies
  • KPI management and statistical analysis tools
  • Advanced Excel / data analysis tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial engineering and process improvement within manufacturing environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or medical device industries
