Industrial Engineer

About This Role

This Industrial Engineer role focuses on driving continuous improvement, optimizing manufacturing processes, and enhancing efficiency and productivity for Alkegen, a global leader in specialty materials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities
• Lead kaizen events, time studies, value stream mapping, and standard work development
• Implement Lean tools (5S, SMED, visual management, flow optimization)
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing processes
• Conduct capacity modeling, labor planning, and line balancing to maximize throughput
• Monitor and improve OEE, cycle times, takt times, and labor efficiency
• Create and revise detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for all products
• Lead cross-functional projects related to automation, debottlenecking, productivity, and new equipment commissioning
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through process redesign, material optimization, and improved workflow

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in ERP systems and BOM management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
