Industrial Engineer

About This Role

Support Engineering projects by developing technical drawings and detailed plans for products and structures, collaborating with engineers to clarify design specifications and ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering projects developing technical drawings that help translate engineering and architectural designs into detailed plans used in building products and structures
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to clarify design specifications
• Layout updates using AUTOCAD software
• Place and follow up purchase orders for new tooling and equipment to produce drawings
• Check design drawings to verify they’re accurate and meet industry standards
• Analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
• Coordinate multidisciplinary projects review between departments and other stakeholders
• Create and follow up problem follow up sheets to monitor and guide completion of activities
• Perform physical measurements to create layouts as required

Requirements

• Extensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD software, 2D AND 3D
• Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
• Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers and other professionals
• Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
• Advanced mathematical skills
• Ability to perform physical measurements to create layouts as required
• Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment to be able to support prototype pilot build constructions
• Knowledge of Ms office to be perform analysis and prepare executive presentations

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree

• Previous manufacturing Automotive/Truck Industry experience
• Bilingual English / Spanish
