Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical

About This Role

Design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, processes, and tooling with an electrical engineering focus to support plant production activities. This role involves developing test and assembly processes and maintaining manufacturing processes through engineering tools and statistical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop test, manufacturing, and various assembly processes
• Design, develop, and maintain electrical/electronic test fixtures, jigs, and automated test equipment (ATE)
• Use engineering tools and statistical concepts to maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
• Investigate process issues and initiate corrective actions
• Generate and maintain production-level documentation and operating procedures
• Specify and initiate the purchase of manufacturing tools, equipment, and supplies
• Plan, specify, and justify capital equipment expenditures
• Lead product and/or process improvement teams
• Design and develop test systems and electronic systems to support product testing and manufacturing
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a concurrent engineering environment

Requirements

• Familiarity with electronic design of test fixtures and systems
• Hands-on role requiring interaction across multiple disciplines within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle ITAR-controlled documents without requiring an export license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with Minitab
• Experience with Microsoft AX
