About This Role

This role is a full-time Human Resources Generalist responsible for overseeing all HR and benefits functions for a growing financial organization of approximately 45 employees. The Generalist will build, manage, and improve internal HR operations, serving as a vital resource to leadership and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and documentation
  • Maintain employee records, files, and HRIS systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support performance management processes, reviews, and documentation
  • Draft, update, and maintain employee handbook and HR policies
  • Manage all employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and ancillary benefits
  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Manage workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and related documentation
  • Support recruiting and hiring logistics including job postings, offer letters, and onboarding coordination

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Benefits Administration
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience managing benefits and HR processes without a PEO or with minimal outside support
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Benefits Administration

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting a hybrid or remote workforce
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar)
  • Experience in financial services, professional services, or growing organizations
