About This Role

The Human Resources Generalist performs HR-related duties on a professional level, acting as a resource for human resources matters and providing guidance, assistance, and support to management and staff. This role provides subject matter expertise for employee relations issues and is responsible for investigating complex employee relations cases.

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake, triage, and resolution of employee and manager inquiries through the HR ticketing system
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for HR-related questions, including policies, procedures, benefits, leaves, and timekeeping
  • Partner with People leadership to support all phases of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding
  • Execute onboarding processes, including compliance documentation, orientation coordination, and systems access
  • Maintain accurate and timely HRIS records throughout all employee lifecycle events
  • Partner with employee relations leaders to support performance management, investigations, and corrective action
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant employee relation documentation aligned with organizational policy and California employment law
  • Support compliance with California wage and hour requirements and healthcare specific regulations
  • Support incident reporting, workers' compensation claim documentation, and follow up activities
  • Partner with benefit vendors and internal stakeholders to support benefit administration and leave management

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in full cycle HR Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting employee relations and handling sensitive workplace matters
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in communications, business, human resources, psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HRIS implementation, workflow documentation and development, or HR process optimization
