Host/Server Assistant

About This Role

As a Host/Server Assistant, you will make a memorable first and last impression, greeting and seating guests, coordinating seating with a sense of urgency, and supporting the service staff to ensure an incredible dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Make a memorable first and last impression to guests
• Greet incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner
• Seat guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
• Coordinate the wait and seating Guests with a sense of urgency
• Maintain a friendly demeanor and engage in genuine conversations with Guests
• Possess general knowledge of the food and drink menu and be able to recommend and upsell products
• Answer the phone promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
• Assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Lead the lobby experience for each Guest, following Outback hospitality standards
• Maintain safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time while performing essential job duties
