As a Busser, you will be a key team member at Outback Steakhouse, responsible for maintaining dining area cleanliness and ensuring a smooth guest experience. Your role involves bussing and resetting tables, addressing public area cleanliness, and supporting overall restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Bus, clean, and properly reset tables
- Address cleanliness or service needs in public areas to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Gain general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, directing calls as applicable
- Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Comply with safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation standards, and all safety procedures
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and stooping
- Manual dexterity for handling glassware, utensils, and technology systems
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth, peripheral, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work in areas with low or dim lighting
