Host/Server Assistant

About This Role

Join the Outback family as a Host/Server Assistant, creating a memorable experience for Guests with friendly, prompt, and attentive service. You will be the first and last impression while coordinating seating and assisting with various restaurant needs.

Responsibilities

• Make a memorable first and last impression for Guests.
• Greet incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner.
• Seat Guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinate wait times and seat Guests with a sense of urgency.
• Smile often and engage in genuine conversations with Guests.
• Possess general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed.
• Assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, and helping Guests.
• Lead the lobby experience for each Guest, adhering to Outback hospitality standards.
• Maintain safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time while performing essential job duties.
