Host/Server Assistant

About This Role

The Host/Server Assistant makes memorable first and last impressions with guests, coordinates seating, and supports service staff to ensure an AUS-SOME dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile for guests
• Greet incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner
• Seat guests in the dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
• Coordinate wait, and seat Guests with a sense of urgency
• Answer the phone in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls
• Lead the lobby experience for each Guest, following Outback hospitality standards
• Assist guests and support Servers by serving food and beverages
• Clear and reset tables, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining environment
• Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise
• Maintain commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
• Able to work in hot and cold environments
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral vision
• Ability to adjust focus as needed in areas with low or dim lighting
