Join the Outback Steakhouse family as a Host/Server Assistant, where you will provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service to Guests. Your attention to detail and genuine personality will help create an incredible dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Make a memorable first and last impression
- Greet incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner
- Seat guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
- Coordinate the wait and seat Guests with a sense of urgency
- Smile and have genuine conversations with Guests
- Maintain general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- Answer the phone promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, and helping guests
- Lead the lobby experience for each Guest, following Outback hospitality standards
- Commit to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time while performing essential job duties
- Responsible Beverage Service Certifications (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date) for California based positions
