About This Role

Serve as the first point of contact for restaurant guests, providing a welcoming impression and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Manage seating arrangements, reservations, and guest inquiries with exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the restaurant
  • Manage the seating chart efficiently according to reservations, party size, and server availability
  • Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours and provide estimated wait times
  • Address special seating requests and accommodate guests with specific needs
  • Offer menus to seated guests and provide brief explanations of specials or promotions
  • Assist in managing reservations, answering phone calls, and confirming upcoming bookings
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant and menu
  • Assist guests with coat check services
  • Maintain a clean and tidy entrance area
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management for efficient guest flow

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a host or in a similar guest-facing role preferred.
