Sell new and used trucks to established customers and develop new prospects within an assigned territory. This role requires broad knowledge of the company's services, products, and marketing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within assigned territory
- Maintain contacts with customers in relation to their requirements
- Keep current on market and customer trends
- Identify and profile prospective customers, develop and apply strategy necessary to obtain orders
- Work floor duty as assigned
- Make company services available to customers
- Refer complaints and leads to proper department managers of the Company
- Report on competitive activity
- Keep informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts
- Keep records and make reports on all phases of activities
- Coordinate efforts with outside parts and service sales personnel to achieve full market penetration
- Keep all departments informed on customer needs
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of Company’s services, products and marketing techniques
- Product knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- High energy level and positive attitude
- CDL required
Qualifications
- Direct sales or truck sales experience preferred
