About This Role

As a Health and Benefits Senior Associate, you will engage directly with clients, establishing relationships and contributing to project management. You will leverage your expertise to make recommendations on health and benefits program design and management.

Responsibilities

  • Play a lead role in the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients
  • Materially contribute to and/or lead project management; monitor progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for clients
  • Proactively advise clients and provide superior client service
  • Contribute to the creation of benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
  • Engage specialist resources and subject matter experts in health management, absence and disability management, pharmacy, data analytics and compliance
  • Support the generation of new business by participating in prospecting opportunities
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Mentor junior colleagues

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in the design/management of health and welfare plans
  • Polished and well developed oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in the design/management of health and welfare plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment or similar experience in a consultative role gained at a carrier or vendor

Nice to Have

  • Desire and ability to expand relationships with current clients
  • Health and welfare actuarial or underwriting training
