Gun Vault Specialist

About This Role

The Gun Vault Specialist manages firearm-related processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate inventory. This role also provides sales and customer service for firearms and other hunting merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Physically and systematically receive and acquire incoming firearms using ARMS systems daily, verifying accuracy.
• Dispose of firearms shipped/transferred to licensed dealers or stores, verifying disposition data daily.
• Conduct monthly firearms audits.
• Ensure proper completion of ATF required forms and state forms for background checks, certifying legality of sales and preventing straw purchases.
• Participate in ongoing training for firearms, shooting product information, and compliance.
• Ensure all firearms are acquired and disposed of safely, properly storing, cleaning, and preparing them for retail sale.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Provide world-class customer service, assisting customers with buying decisions by identifying needs and making product recommendations.
• Organize and maintain firearms within the retail store for sales at various locations.
• Respond promptly to all ATF or State Firearm Trace Requests.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to legally own and possess Firearms under Federal and State Law
• Ability to understand, recall, and follow complex compliance regulations
• Customer Service and Sales experience with Firearms and Other Hunting Merchandise
• Knowledge in Firearms, Ammunition, and relevant ATF and State Regulations
• Experience with ARMS, Acquisitions, and Dispositions of Firearms

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Retail
