Fund Accountant

About This Role

Manage financial records and operational tasks for private equity funds, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and investor relations. This role coordinates with external auditors and tax advisors, performs treasury functions, and communicates with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the general ledger and books and records for assigned Funds and accounts
• Generate quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, partners' capital schedule, and supporting notes
• Produce detailed investment portfolio analytical reports
• Prepare, calculate, and coordinate investor capital call and distribution analysis and payment processing
• Conduct quarterly reconciliations of transaction activity between the firm's portfolio management systems and private equity fund financial information
• Assist with the annual external audit process by providing documentation and support
• Coordinate the preparation of tax returns with designated external tax advisor
• Perform specific treasury functions, including daily cash reconciliations and proactive management of fund cash positions
• Manage communications with investors, third-party consultants/administrators, banks, custodians, external accountants, attorneys, and other service providers
