About This Role

The Front Desk Coordinator I welcomes and assists patients, manages administrative tasks, and supports clinic operations for Smile Doctors.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and receive customers, determining the nature of their visit and notifying appropriate team members
  • Perform various administrative duties including welcoming visitors and providing clinic information
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls, taking messages as needed
  • Check-in patients, collect general information on their first visit, and verify insurance
  • Notify clinicians of patient arrival and readiness, and make appointments for returning patients
  • Print/reprint appointment reminders and school/work excuses, and make changes to patient schedules as necessary
  • Coordinate payment arrangements or account resolution, and process payments
  • Receive, store, and deliver shipments and mail, and update charts and patient information
  • Drive internal marketing initiatives and foster participation from everyone

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year of administrative experience preferred

  • Bilingual (a plus)
