Food Service Worker Lead

About This Role

This role involves leading and assisting with food preparation, portioning, and serving to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within a food service environment. The lead worker will coordinate tasks, maintain cleanliness, and uphold food quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in preparation of food items for the day and dating products
• Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations designated by the manager
• Cook and otherwise prepare foods according to recipes and directions
• Maintain daily temperature logs and take samples of all food items on the line
• Alert management and pull food items that do not meet quality expectations
• Complete opening and closing station checklists
• Greet customers, handle complaints, and engage with a positive attitude
• Coordinate and assist in maintaining a clean work station (including floors, work areas, equipment)
• Ensure all work areas and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart

• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform frequent lifting/transporting hot food items
• Ability to work inside kitchen area, interact with heated equipment, steam, loud noise, chemicals and other at risk conditions

Qualifications

• Food Service Experience preferred
