Food Service Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and production packets (Production sheets and recipes)
• Direct daily activities of food service staff
• Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
• Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
• Maintain all serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications in a safe manner
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
• Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
• Supervise and evaluate employees, providing counseling and promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
• Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
• Completion of a sanitation course (before or during first year)
• Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
• Strong organizational skills
