Prepare and portion food items according to production requirements and Aramark sanitation standards, utilizing daily worksheets and standardized recipes to cook meals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes
- Follow proper food handling procedures
- Maintain accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness
- Manage leftover foods correctly; cover, label, date, and accurately store according to Aramark standards
- Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
- Ensure stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift (including cleaning of kitchen equipment)
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations
- Follow safety policies and accident reporting procedures
- Complete all required training
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to facilitate communication with others
- Basic math and counting skills
Qualifications
- Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation
