This role is responsible for all financial and accounting aspects at the venue level, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and managing financial controls. The Financial Planning and Analytics Manager will oversee month-end close processes, forecasting, and various accounts, while also training operations managers in finance essentials.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting and finance at the venue level, directly or through staff supervision
- Oversee month-end close processes, show flashing, balance sheet maintenance, and forecasting
- Perform daily revenue reconciliation, accounts payable, and cash management
- Provide operational management support and maintain tax and licenses
- Manage band payment processes, office management, and supply inventory
- Handle accounts receivables, vendor, and guest relations, and Foundation Membership processes
- Manage and supervise lead auditor, cashiers, and purchasing managers
- Ensure accuracy of all reports and provide information to home office club accounting for period close
- Review period end GL detail with department heads and prepare monthly tax returns
- Oversee local and state audits of club books and records and track/collect accounts receivable
- Manage physical inventory counts and review actual to perpetual variance
- Review and provide input to Talent Buyer forecasting in the MIDAS system
- Prepare fiscal operations and financial plan for the respective club
- Responsible for weekly update and reforecast of the Present View annual forecasting model
- Rollout new financial procedures and systems in the respective club
- Train and develop operations managers in the “Essentials of Finance”
- Recognize, identify and execute profit enhancement opportunities
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Requirements
- 5 years experience with a strong background in accounting
- 3 years Accounts Payable experience
- 2-3 years experience in Staff management
- Cash management background
- Ability to communicate and interact well with executive level management
- Very strong Excel skills
- Experience with national-level integrated General Ledger software system (Oracle)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-4 years experience in all aspects of accounting
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years experience with a strong background in accounting, 3 years Accounts Payable, 2-3 years in Staff management, 2-4 years experience in all aspects of accounting
Nice to Have
- Food/beverage accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Advanced business degree
- Hospitality experience
