Event Staff Security Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise event staff security, ensuring the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at various event locations. This role involves direct oversight of security operations, staff scheduling, and client communication for a prominent security company.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of patrons, guests, and performers
• Reinforce Hospitality Security brand with all clients, guests, and co-workers
• Conduct access control procedures
• Follow venue-specific guidelines
• Perform foot patrols
• Schedule staff for events to ensure proper coverage
• Maintain uniform and equipment for the Event Staff team
• Oversee and coach Event Staff team members
• Handle initial disciplinary actions for team members
• Conduct on-site training for security staff

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Availability to work a minimum of 4-6 events per month
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts
• Ability to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work in or outdoors during all seasons
• Ability to hear conversations in noisy environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliability and punctuality for shifts
• Ability to balance customer service with enforcing rules
• Ability to read and interpret written post guidelines
• Ability to use de-escalation techniques
