Event Staff Security

About This Role

Provide crowd control and security services for events using excellent customer service skills to ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences
• Ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at events
• Maintain the Hospitality Security brand with all clients, guests, and co-workers
• Perform access control duties
• Follow venue-specific guidelines
• Conduct foot patrols
• Report for shifts on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Balance customer service expectations while enforcing client policies and rules
• Read and interpret written post guidelines and follow outlined procedures
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to defuse situations

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• No felony convictions and able to pass a criminal background check
• Available to work a minimum of 4+ events per month
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts
• Ability to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors during all seasons
• Ability to hear conversations in noisy environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
