Event Staff Security

About This Role

This role is for an Event Staff Security Officer who will provide crowd control and ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at various events. Responsibilities include access control, foot patrol, and upholding client guidelines while balancing customer service with policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows and conferences
• Ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large and small scale events
• Maintain the Hospitality Security brand with all clients, guests, and co-workers
• Perform Access Control duties
• Follow venue specific guidelines
• Conduct Foot Patrols
• Report for shifts on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Balance outstanding customer service with maintaining client policies and enforcing rules
• Read and interpret written post guidelines and follow outlined procedures
• Use de-escalation techniques to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be available to work at minimum 4+ events per month
• Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts
• Ability to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work in or outdoors during all seasons
• Ability to hear conversations (in person or via 2-way radio) in noisy environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
