Engineering Technician

About This Role

The Engineering Technician will design, program, manufacture, and verify programs, setups, and fixtures for NC machines and offline processes. This role also provides technical support to Production and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Create and verify setups, fixtures, and programs for NC machines and offline processes
• Assist in training production employees on setups, fixtures, and machine operations
• Troubleshoot and provide applications assistance on machining, burning, forming, and welding processes
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Model and export new parts and revision changes
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer with developing, managing, and implementing projects
• Assist and guide team members to meet project specifications
• Assist engineers in maintaining tool crib, stocking and issuing consumable inventory
• Assist with other projects assigned from manufacturing engineers or management team
• Analyze space requirements, prepare layouts for new equipment, and evaluate material flow to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of manufacturing experience
• 1-3 years of NC Machine operations experience
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
• Strong math and problem-solving skills with geometry and trigonometry
• Able to read and use common measuring devices
• Able to read and understand prints and drawings
• Able to work in a high-paced, manufacturing environment
• Able to work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Conversational English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of manufacturing experience

Nice to Have

• 2 or 4 year degree
• Lean manufacturing experience
• VMC or HMC experience
