About This Role

Supervise customer service associates and manage the front end of the store at Walgreens. Support the Store Manager with overall store operations, including achieving company deliverables, improving sales and profitability, and leading team members.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise customer service associates and designated hitters
  • Manage the front end of the store and make recommendations on Pharmacy and Retail Store operations
  • Support the Store Manager with overall store operations to achieve company deliverables
  • Assume responsibilities of all store activities in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Ensure proper merchandising, protection of store assets, and improve store sales and profitability
  • Lead and manage store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline
  • Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and provide assistance
  • Monitor customer service, provide coaching, training, and develop improvement plans
  • Supervise the operation of the store and team members, including assigning daily activities and scheduling
  • Supervise the control of store cash management and oversee all aspects of bookkeeping
  • Supervise front end and pharmacy inventory, completing resets/revisions and price changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, all majors welcome OR satisfactorily completed a Walgreens Community Internship Program OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities that include professional business ethics, self-motivation, strong communication skills and strong business acumen
  • Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of ESM start date
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours
  • Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, which could require relocation
  • Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record or High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory position (does not require experience with direct reports) if no Bachelor's degree
