Join the Pharmacy department at Duane Reade as a Pharmacy Technician, responsible for verifying prescription information and assisting pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Verify that prescription information is complete and accurate
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, and sometimes mix medication
• Prepare prescription labels, select containers, and affix labels
• Price and file prescriptions, ensuring Pharmacist check before patient distribution
• Establish and maintain patient profiles
• Prepare insurance claim forms
• Stock and take inventory of prescription medications
• Scan merchandise on the register
• Stock merchandise on the shelves
• Refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a Pharmacist
