About This Role

Coordinate with trucking partners and the procurement team to ensure efficient and timely movement of cargo within a geographic scope. Proactively manage service exceptions and maintain strong relationships with motor carriers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple store door trucking partners within a geographic scope
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure cargo moves via designated vendors and most efficient routings
• Work cross-functionally and with external groups to ensure cargo moves efficiently
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with key motor carrier partners
• Review and monitor service failures with motor carriers to eliminate future occurrences and ensure corrective action
• Proactively communicate cross-functionally to eliminate controllable service exceptions and accessorial costs
• Identify opportunities for appointment adjustments and coordinate cross-functionally to maximize carrier utilization and on-time service

Requirements

• 1+ years industry experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to collaborate effectively
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Ability to evaluate data, analyze, and problem solve
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Inland logistics, intermodal, and port operations knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, including formulas and macros
• Prior transportation equipment experience required

• Strong troubleshooting skills
