Dispatcher I

About This Role

Serve as a Dispatcher I, coordinating service requests and scheduling technicians to provide prompt and efficient service to customers. This role involves frequent customer contact and maintaining good relations.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming telephone service requests and log customer service calls with pertinent information
• Schedule service calls to technicians and supply necessary information, determining priorities
• Maintain follow-up system for parts ordered by Service Techs for customer satisfaction
• Maintain Inspection List, Automatic Scale, Wrapper, and General Line files
• Maintain File of Equipment, including calling customers for estimates, new equipment prices, and service completion
• Perform clerical functions such as tracking consignment, assisting walk-in customers, shipping/receiving, and handling supervisor's calls
• Train or cross-train other employees as requested
• Follow up on completed service calls to verify customer satisfaction and promote service contracts
• Print out and mail invoices
• Handle 3rd party billing
• Schedule PM's
• Prepare quotes for repairs

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of similar or related experience with high volume dispatching
• Ability to handle competing/multiple priorities
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school or GED
• A minimum of 1 year of similar or related experience with high volume dispatching
