Lead and manage a sales team responsible for achieving budgeted sales quotas within the automotive software sector. This role involves direct supervision of Account Development Executives, strategic planning, and driving client retention for cloud-based software solutions for dealerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead a sales team to achieve budgeted sales quota
- Directly supervise a team of 5+ Account Development Executives
- Monitor sales team performance and achieve financial goals
- Develop, motivate, and counsel staff, fostering a collaborative environment
- Provide feedback about market conditions and plan sales strategy per quarter
- Accountable for working with current and competitive accounts
- Hire and build a successful sales team
- Direct and manage staff performance
- Handle customer issues and satisfaction
- Assist in driving efforts to increase client retention
Requirements
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in leading a quota-exceeding outside B2B sales team
- Experience selling complex software systems
- Experience selling Dealer Management Systems to automotive dealerships
- Demonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment
- 1-3 years of outside B2B sales/including new business development
- Experience in automotive industry required
- Excellent planning, project management, analytical and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team environment, with a strong track record of delivering measurable results
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to a variety of senior level audiences
- Demonstrated ability to make meaningful recommendations to senior management regarding the strategic direction of the sales organization
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology applications
- Excellent work ethic, with ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance work environment
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to travel approximately 75% is required
- Quota at 100% or more every year
Qualifications
- 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in leading a quota-exceeding outside B2B sales team, selling complex software systems; 1-3 years of outside B2B sales/including new business development.

- Knowledge of automotive - technology and digital solutions preferred
